Mindfully Active

Imagine waking up feeling refreshed and energized, ready to tackle the day ahead. You step outside into the fresh air, ready to take on the world. But first, you join a group of like-minded individuals who are just as excited to get moving and improve their mental and physical health. This is the vision that I had when I founded Mindfully Active.

As a UKA qualified Run Leader and first aider in Sport and Mental Health, I know firsthand the benefits of physical activity for both the mind and body. I've seen the incredible impact that physcal activities can have on a person's mental well-being, and I want to share that with as many people as possible. That's why Mindfully Active was created, a community-based program that focuses on improving overall health and well-being through physical activity and social events. I am passionate about helping others and committed to the Mindfully Active community. Whether you're an experienced runner, or just looking to be more active, Mindfully Active is a place where you can feel welcome, supported, and encouraged to reach your goals.

Session 1: Warm up run to Green Park at a very easy pace (10.30 ish) 1 min rec 200m x 5 fast 1 min rec. Session 2 (beginners) Warm up run to Green Park at your easy pace 1 min active rec 30 sec at your fast pace with 30 sec active rec x 5. Session 3: 5k at your easy pace around GP. Cool down run back to cars. After the session we will do a stretching session back at the cars, this is very important to aid recovery & prevent injury. Any questions, please do ask.

This session will be led by Tabitha, taking in the hills, inclines & steps around Shinfield. There may be reps, so get ready for a good session. Join us for an exciting and inclusive hill running session that caters to all fitness levels! We'll be conquering reps, multiple hills, steps, or inclines, and you're free to do as many as you feel comfortable with. This is a group for new runners who want to start their running journey with us, or for those runners who have taken a break and want to get back to it. You will be doing 3 sessions per week, 1 of which I will be leading each week. As consistency is the key with coaching, you will have the same Run leader every week, also we will have a tail runner to ensure that we all stay together and nobody is left behind or on their own. We will discuss the other 2 sessions in person as a group. But please do not worry, you will always have support and guidance from myself and other members at our club.
